Elite American racers Tinker Juarez and Jeremiah Bishop will be moving from the MonaVie-Cannondale team to the Cannondale Factory Racing (CFR) team. MonaVie, a maker of acai berry juice blends, and Cannondale paired up to start the MonaVie-Cannondale team two years ago.

The team expansion, Cannondale says, reflects the company’s recognition that pro athletes play a critical role in raising awareness and support for the sport on an International and domestic level.

Cannondale has sponsored mountain bike teams since 1994 - first with Volvo-Cannondale, then with the creation of Cannondale Factory Racing and most recently with MonaVie-Cannondale. As the exclusive equipment and jersey sponsor for these teams, Cannondale has helped to develop several world-class athletes including U.S. National Champion and two-time U.S. Olympian, Juarez.

Cannondale Unveils “Simon” Suspension Concept

By Lesser - September 23, 2009 - 01:43

By Ryan LaBar

Stuffed into the back of a military surplus Mercedes-Benz Unimog that was tearing around the desert as if to elude pursuers, and with the flaps of the truckbed drawn closed to leave me completely shrouded in darkness, I had no idea what was going on. Cannondale had something top-secret to unveil, and after a 6:30 AM wakeup call and the rude rumble-about in the back of the no-so-cushioned truck, it had sure better be good.

When the truck finally came to a stop in a corrugated-steel-walled storage container, in an undisclosed location, I disembarked to the glare of Klieg lights and a number of Cannondale employees running around in hazmat suits. It looked like a community theater version of a scene from the “Moonraker,” the James Bond flick, but we would soon learn that the dog-and-pony show was worth it.

Haz-Mat suits? Welcome to the brave new world of electronic suspension.

Haz-Mat suits? Men in... White? Welcome to the brave new world of electronic suspension.
