dave-crash-collins-dOn a weekend when mountain bikers were to be celebrating our sport at the Dam Cold Downhill race in Bootleg Canyon, Nevada, many will instead be attending a memorial service for that race’s spirited organizer.

Dave “Crash” Collins, who had devoted much of his energy to promoting races on Bootleg Canyon’s downhill trails, passed on January 8 following an intense battle with cancer. His passing came just 10 days short of his 48th birthday.

Mountain Cycle Closes European Office

By Screamin Mimi - December 22, 2009 - 18:08

Mountain Cycle Inc. is announcing that its European office, located in Grenoble, France has been closed.

With several new platforms to be launched in 2010, Mountain Cycle is re-establishing the global sales and service center in the United States, effectively returning Mountain Cycle to its home state of California. There are no immediate plans to open another EU office at this time, with all efforts going to making operations in the US the central point for all current and future Mountain Cycle activity.

This re-centralization will ensure a higher level of service to our customers globally, not only in sales but more importantly in product support as we move forward developing a range of dynamic products, including the San Andreas ‘20′.

As part of this restructure, Mountain Cycle launched its all new site and online store, enabling Mountain Cycle to sell Mountain Cycle frames and bikes to customers globally. We hope that this new site is the first step in allowing us to reach and service our loyal customers around the world directly.
